Ethics and Ethical Standards for Dentists and Dental Professionals

Course Description

This CPD course provides dentists and dental professionals in Qatar with a comprehensive understanding of ethical standards, professional values, and moral responsibility in clinical dentistry. It explores core ethical principles — autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, justice, and integrity — as they apply to dental decision-making, patient relationships, confidentiality, and informed consent.

Participants will learn to navigate everyday ethical challenges such as treatment refusal, financial transparency, advertising ethics, and maintaining professional boundaries. The course aligns with the ethical expectations of the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) and the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) and reflects both international dental ethics and Qatar’s cultural and religious context.

Whether used for continuing professional development, remediation, or reflective practice, this course equips dental professionals to maintain trust, accountability, and ethical excellence in all aspects of dental care.
