Ethical Boundaries with Patients and Colleagues

Course Description

Ethical boundaries are the cornerstone of safe, trustworthy, and respectful healthcare practice. This CPD-certified course is designed for all healthcare professionals in Bahrain, including those currently under NHRA investigation or fitness to practise review. It explores how ethical boundaries protect patients, maintain professionalism, and foster healthy, respectful relationships within the healthcare team.

Participants will learn how to recognise boundary challenges, prevent conflicts of interest, and uphold integrity in interactions with both patients and colleagues. The course integrates the principles of professional ethics, insight, reflection, and remediation, helping practitioners strengthen trust and demonstrate accountability in line with the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) standards.

By the end of the course, participants will understand how to apply ethical decision-making to real-world situations, manage professional boundaries effectively, and rebuild confidence following complaints or investigations.
