Ethics and Ethical Standards for Doctors (UAE) is a CPD course designed to help physicians and medical practitioners in the UAE understand, apply, and demonstrate ethical practice in accordance with the professional codes of conduct issued by MOHAP, DHA, DOH–Abu Dhabi, and EHS.

Ethics is central to medical professionalism. It ensures that doctors act with honesty, fairness, accountability, and respect for patient autonomy in all clinical and administrative decisions. UAE healthcare regulators make ethical conduct a condition of licence renewal and view it as the foundation of patient trust, public confidence, and safe care.

This course explores the four ethical principles — autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice — alongside UAE expectations on consent, confidentiality, candour, professional boundaries, and digital professionalism. Through regulator-aligned guidance and regional case examples, learners will develop practical strategies to manage ethical dilemmas, maintain integrity, and demonstrate accountability in both everyday and regulatory contexts.
