Its authority comes from the <strong>Medical Practice Act<\/strong>, found in the California Business and Professions Code (BPC), sections 2000&ndash;2448. Its two questions are simple: is the matter within the Board&rsquo;s jurisdiction, and does it allege a violation of the Medical Practice Act?
